Talk for Utrecht University Advisory Board

On September 11, I gave a virtual talk for the the Open Science Advisory Board at Utrecht University on how to think about procedural legitimacy in higher education. My presentation – “The Nature and Limits of Procedural (Throughput) Legitimacy for Higher Education” – was all about ensuring accountability and transparency as well as openness and inclusiveness in University governance procedures, especially as related to University tenure and promotion processes, faculty governance, and student relations. I presented for half an hour or so, and then responded to questions.
